Gloop 1.3 and Germs 1.4

Print E-mail

12 August 2010 - Gloop 1.3 has just become available on the app store. As it turns out I also threw a new renderer in there for more recent devices. It provides light and shadow for gloop and globs. Due to certain technical limitations I can't record a video for this just yet so the 1.3 video doesn't include the new renderer.

The next update will be to provide the new renderer for Germs, hopefully that should be on the app store by the last week of August. After that I'll look at porting these apps to iPad while continuing to make mods to the iPhone/iPod versions.

- Additional options and controls.
- iOS4 multitasking support.

27 Feb 2010 - An update which allows two 2nd generation or later iPhones or iPods to link via Bluetooth has been approved for sale on the App store. Now you can compete against your friends in head to head matches and exchange and compare your single player scores.

Updates for Gloop and Germs

Print E-mail

14 Dec - The 1.1 update for Germs which features statistics and replays is now available. Another update for Gloop is nearing completion. Gloop will gain an options screen allowing control of surface friction, particle number and colour schemes. In addition I'll add "globs" (technology adapted from "Germs") and glob gravity.

Thanks for your suggestions in the various App Stores around the world. Unfortunately I don't have time to implement all of your ideas and all of mine but your comments are always welcome and make for interesting reading.

Gloop Lite will get all of the above apart from the glob gravity option. It will also still lack the tilt control option from Gloop.

Then development focus will turn back to Germs for a time.
